Blackberry Farm

The Conservation Areas currently consist of six picturesque parcels which consist of pasture lands used for grazing as well as forest lands.   The Blackberry Farm Conservation Areas are visible from West Millers Cove Road and the Foothills Parkway, which is a 71-mile parkway and significant scenic and tourism resource within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Hesse Creek flows in an easterly direction through the conservation areas. Currently the creek is managed as a trophy trout stream used by the guests of Blackberry Farm. Other hydrologic features include a pond and a perennial tributary of Hesse Creek.   The significance of protecting these parcels is that they are an important connection in creating a corridor between other conserved lands on Mount Nebo and Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
