NALT holds two important Conservation Easements adjacent to a reconstructed Revolutionary War fort known as Fort Roberdeau. Recognizing the unique and natural landscape surrounding the Fort in addition to increasing development pressure, the Fort Roberdeau Association, at the request of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, engaged NALT to help protect and conserve the private, rural lands directly abutting the Fort. With the use of Conservation Easements and grant money from the State, the Conservation Areas will help ensure the protection of the natural, historic landscape surrounding Fort Roberdeau.
