Director of Projects
Mike Duus is the Director of Projects for North American Land Trust (NALT), based at the organization’s headquarters in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. In this leadership role, he oversees the development and execution of conservation projects nationwide, guiding initiatives from early evaluation and due diligence through closing and long-term implementation.
Mike focuses on advancing a broad range of conservation strategies, including conservation easements, mitigation projects, ecological restoration, and innovative environmental credit projects. He works closely with landowners, public agencies, nonprofit partners, and corporate stakeholders to structure creative solutions that generate measurable environmental outcomes while ensuring long-term stewardship integrity.
He leads the project team, manages complex regulatory and legal coordination, and works to strengthen internal systems that improve efficiency and scalability across NALT’s growing project portfolio.
Mike holds a B.A. in Biology from McDaniel College and an M.S. in Biology from Appalachian State University.
