The Miracle League of the Triangle, Inc. took ownership of the Conservation Area and established community playing fields for sports such as soccer, baseball, etc. on the upland portion of the property, while protecting the wetland and floodplain areas bordering Richland Creek on the eastern boundary of the property. The area protects open space for both recreation and nature, providing a haven for a variety of flora and fauna while providing benefit and enjoyment for the public.
The mission of the Miracle League is to create positive life experiences for children and adults with special needs and for their families through baseball.
