We are excited to announce that along with the official opening of the Baldino Family History and Nature Center at Brinton Run Preserve, we have added a new PokéStop here as well! Our new interpretive center is a renovated building that will now serve as a community and educational center for the public. This stop is also a center point to Brinton Run Preserve itself and serves as a crossroad for the entire trail network, so we encourage all trail users and gamers to stop by!
The PokéStop is specifically located at the sign out front of the building and you can see what this looks like in-game as shown below.

Going to PokéStop locations in game allows users to gain rewards in many different ways. First, being that you can spin the stop and get the basic rewards like Pokéballs, healing items, or eggs. Then, you can scan the location of the PokéStop using your camera to gain additional rewards. Finally, players can use what is called a “Lure Module,” which will attract Pokémon to the stop and this encourages players to spend more time within the limits of the PokéStop in order to catch some rare Pokémon!
As we increase our programming and presence out at BRP, we encourage all preserve users to stop by and check out what we have going on in the interpretive center! In the words of NALT’s president, Steven Carter, the new Baldino Family History and Nature Center is “a space that will serve as a gateway to both the natural and historical richness of this special property.”

PokéStops also must meet one of the games’ eligibility requirements to be confirmed into the game as either a place that encourages exploration, exercise, or socialization, and like Steve said, this is a great place for all three!
You will also notice that in the screenshots from the Pokémon Go app, the BRP trail network has been added to the game as well. This means that once we can add more interpretive signage and amenities, we will continue to add PokéStops and gamers will be able to get rewards throughout our entire preserve!

We at NALT have a passion to protect beautiful places and we hope that our continued presence and programming can help encourage more community engagement at our preserves. While we expand at BRP, we also have newly acquired and opened the 1755 preserve in downtown Chadds Ford. Applications for new PokéStops have already been submitted here and we hope that Pokémon Go players spin the block from BRP and spin some new spots at 1755 in the future!
As of October 2025, we’re also able to track the visitor statistics of who’s been spinning our PokéStops!
| Year | Month | Visits | Player Total |
| 2025 | October | 203 | 61 |
| 2025 | November | 595 | 66 |
| 2025 | December | 944 | 74 |
