NALT Welcomes Preserve Intern Chloe Wolfe

Most of us working in the conservation world can track our “spark” back to our childhood, spending time outdoors and quickly earning a fascination with all things nature.

The same is true for our new preserve intern, Chloe Wolfe. “I would say my family and childhood is what sparked my interest in the natural world. I spent a lot of time exploring and observing the outdoors. My family is big on hiking, hunting, camping, and more so I grew up being very in tune with nature!” Chloe says that the most exciting thing about working out at the preserves is being outdoors and learning side by side with NALT Preserve Manager Kinsey Cuoco; “She has a lot of knowledge and skill in managing and maintaining the preserve and I feel like I will learn a lot from her. “

Chloe is an ecology and conservation major entering her senior year at West Chester University, joining the ranks of three previous NALT interns from WCU, all of which became full-time employees! (NALT Preserve Manager Kinsey Cuoco, NALT GIS Manager Adrian Gatewood, and NALT GIS Specialist Steve DiSipio).

When asked about what she hopes people experience when they come to the preserve, Chloe stated “I hope people are able to experience the peace and clarity that being out in nature can bring. You gain a lot of perspective when you disconnect from the day-to-day business and just appreciate the life that’s all around you! The Brinton Run and 1755 preserves may only be a small part of the natural world, but it’s exciting to see all the benefits that come from all the different projects here! I’m excited to see all the progress we make this summer and overall, in NALT’s future.”

We are so excited to welcome Chloe, and if you see her out on the preserves, be sure to offer a friendly hello.
